See Ya Later

Well, I'm off to the Children's Home. Lady is leaving in the wee hours for the capital city to catch a plane to CAT MAN DOO! Yup, she's going to Nepal. I've seen it on National Geographic. She'll be back in a week. I hope she brings me somethin' good. Christy will help me keep training for the Olympics. Hedgie and Bear are going with me.
I want to say a great big THANK YOU to beautiful Emma the GBGV for giving me the Versatile Blogger Award! Click on her name to get to her page. Lady says she'll help me make my list of seven things about me later, and pass on the award to others, but we did want to say thank you to Emma for thinking of us!!

Vacation

The kids have been hanging out my house a lot lately, so I decided I'd go hang out with them at the Home. Christy and Ashish came to get me. Since Lady would be so lone;y without me, she decided to leave, too. She went to the capital city, and then she's going to Dubai for a few days. I hope she brings me a present!  She about squeezed the stuffin's out of me when I left! I gave her a good lick!

Merry Christmas Friends!!!

Lady and I had a great Christmas. Our friends from Apple Country stayed with us. We had pancakes for breakfast! But Lady and I shared out Christmas by Skype with our family in the US before our guests even got up!
I quickly opened my stocking and gifts. Thanks, Santa Paws!

I decided to help Lady open her gifts! My grandparents were watching by Skype. I got to see my cousins, Casey and Pepper, open their presents. The cat, Beau, his in a gift bag! Teddy didn't make an appearance.

Content!

Oops! The tree fell over! I didn't do it!

No worries -we have our Jesus tree we put in its place!

Christmas gift-opening aftermath! I love my new Bobo! It squeaks!

Christmas Eve, for the second year in a row, we hosted the kids from the Children's Home and the staff. I was a very good host. These kids love me. I stay with them when Lady goes out of town, so they are like family. They came at 3:30 and the last ones left at almost 9:00 pm! Best of all, Lady ordered chicken chow mein and cheese pizzas for them (among other things). I got CHICKEN!!! I'm Chinese-of course I eat noodles! Lady shared about the True meaning of Christmas and how to keep it going. We played games and sang songs. Lady let the kids go into Secret Santa's Shop and choose presents to give away. Then, they decorated the paper and wrapped the gifts. Then, Lady and I gave out gifts to everyone. She even let me open another one! I got a new Santa! Finally, we lit the advent candles and sang "Silent Night." I was one fat, pooped pup by the time they left! After I got into bed, I didn't move all night! Here are some photos from our Christmas Eve celebration:

When I opened the door, the kids sang Christmas Carols to me!

Even Aunty joined in the games! She sent dinner to us while Lady was on her back. We love Aunty!
This baby is Nobel. She LOVES me! Her parents cook for the children and help take care of them.
Colorful socks in the local pattern! Can't lick the toes if they are in socks! I have been loving on an early present Baby Wyatt gave me. I loved the eye and the nose of (but I didn't swallow -I know better; I just leave them for someone to step on).

I'm helping with the JESUS Bingo game.

Lady wants to keep this girl! She is wrapping gifts she chose in Secret Santa Shop.
Satiya wraps gifts he chose. He's one of my favorites. In all, twenty-three kids came.
I was trying to help with crafts, but I stepped on a sticky baby Jesus.

I'm under the table waiting for the food to inevitably drop.
Indians eat with their paws, er, hands.
With thirty-five humans eating, there were lots of drops! Lady fixed me my own plate of chicken chow mien and cheese pizza.

And God bless us every one!

See Ya Later, Aunt Sheri!

Well, it was off to the home for me on Monday. Lady took Aunty Sheri to the capital city to fly back to the US. She wanted to take me with her but Lady said no way. Aunty Sheri really likes me a lot. I was a good host. Lady came back this afternoon, dropped her suitcase and came to get me. I was ready to go home right then. I kept running to the door, back to Lady, to the door, back to Lady...you get the idea. Well, apparently Lady didn't. She stayed for tea! She said it would be rude not to have tea with Aunty. Pearly carried my bag for me and visited for a bit. She missed the school bus today so she stayed home and played me with. I was mopey because Christy went back to boarding school last evening. But I am home now, with my Lady, where I belong.

I'm in Trouble

The kids from the Children's Home came for an Easter celebration. Jing was sick and couldn't help us. But our friends C. & J. came to help us. Twenty kids came. Lady told them the Easter Story and it's importance for today. Evangeline helped translate for the new little ones. Speaking of the new little ones. They didn't listen to Aunty, or Christy, or Pearly, or Lady or anyone who told them not to mess with me. Abishek messed with me too much and I bit him. Don't get excited, I didn't break the skin, but I left a little mark. He cried for about 10 seconds. Lady took care of him. I got a time out. I tried to apologize. Very loudly from the bedroom. No go. I missed the rest of that party. Lady let me come out and say good-bye. Christy was so upset she wanted to take time-out with me. She told Abishek not to mess with me. Lady says I can't bite no matter what. I didn't even get in a really good bite - I just scared him. Lady is still upset about it.
So, as soon as they left, Lady had to get ready for the next bunch of neighborhood girls for their party. Twelve came. I got to stay. Three of the girls are afraid of me. I guess with reason.
Christy sprung me from time out so I could come out and watch the last of the egg hunt, and the gift giving.
These are a couple of the new little ones from the home.

These are the big girls at the second party. I was let out and allowed to attend. I was on my best behavior -well, I didn't bite anyone.

I'm on clean-up duty at the second party. If they drop food, I clean it up. It's my job, unless it is chocolate. I'm not allowed to eat chocolate.
I loved the stuffing out of my teddy while Lady was telling the Easter story with plastic eggs!

Back at the Home...

No, Lady didn't put me back in the home. We just went for a visit. Lady is taking photos for their blog of the kids on their way to school. I was happy to see them.
My two Aunties who took care of me were so happy to see me. Premlatta was ill for four days and didn't leave her room. So, I didn't either. I just stayed by her side and watched over her. They had to come get me to take me out to take care of business. She told Lady this story this morning. We were up early to see the kids off. They don't have a camera so Lady takes photos for them with her little camera. I made myself right at home.

I've missed Pearly!
It's a bad back day. I'm dragging. So Lady put me in my wheels. I'll walk in them, but I'm not happy about it.

Back in the Home

Well, Pearly, Evangeline, Emman and Jevan came to pick me up early this morning. I should have known something was up when I saw the suitcase on the bed. I didn't see Lady pack my stuff. I was happy to see the kids. Well, not as excited as I get when I see Lady. She packed my gauze and tape, my cheese and feel-better pills, my blankets, my chow bucket, my coats, and my bowls. Yep. Takes a lot of stuff for a sleepover.
Lady and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of my wheels. I am still having a hard time. Lady said she'd be back next Sunday, and maybe my wheels would be here, too! I'm not sure what to expect, but Lady says we'll be able to take long walks again, and I won't hurt so bad. Any other handi-capable dogs have any advice for me?

She Put Me In A Home

Just like the other kids, my mom couldn't take care of me so she put me in a home...for little humans who don't have anyone to care for them. Ha! Just kidding! I'm on vacation, helping out here at Grace Home. Lady saved some chickenMacNuggets for me to have today to make it a little easier for me. We drew some stares as we walked down the street. Little Pearly was carrying my bucket of chow, and Christy struggled to carry my kennel with all my stuff. Lady had to carry me pretty quick this am. I didn't like like it when Lady left me. But my Lady always comes back to me.
