FLAT MARLEY TOURS CENTRAL FLORIDA

I am secure in Lady's love for me. I am not jealous of the cutie furriends she hung out with in Central Florida this week. Lady had to rent a car to drive all over central Florida. She introduced Flat Me to a lot of human friends and furriends!

This is Coco, who lives with her human Katherine. Katherine and Coco hosted Lady Wednesday night. Coco is an unusual color for a havanese. She has a short do because she runs through the woods on her property! She tries to herd the cows.
My cousin is a Havanese. We've never seen his face!

Katherine was shocked when Coco wanted to go with my Lady!! She did NOT want to get out!
I'm a celebrity! Look! A big Flat Me! These precious girls pray for Lady and me, and read my blog! Lady says they gave me some gifts! I can't wait to open them after Lady comes home. Sure wish I could lick their face in person!
Flat me visited the church where Rev. Billy Graham was ordained.
Flat Me at the podium in the church where Billy Graham was ordained.

This peacock has been hanging around Lady's host's home for 15 years!
Danny and Bobby introduced Flat Me to the goats. Praise the Lord they didn't eat Flat Me!!

On her way home with Flat Me, Lady visited with her dear friend Jeano. We met her new baby, a golden retriever named Montana Sky (the darker one). Montana's brother, Ike was visiting for the weekend.
 Montana tells Ike what's what.
These litter mates are twelve weeks old.

Ike is a future service dog, and Montana is a future therapy dog! Wow! It will be fun watching them grow. They sure are cute.

LETTER TO LADY

Hi Lady.  I just had a bath and I was real good for my new friends.  My temporary lady lathered me up and gave me a gentle all over body massage during my bath.  After my bath I ran all over the house and rubbed myself on all their rugs.  It was a lot of fun.

My temporary family lives on the top floor of a tall building.  They are very gentle when they pick me up to carry me up and down the stairs.  There are 60 stairs up to their house!  I'm glad I don't have to climb them.  When I go out for my walks, there are some very mean dogs in this neighborhood.  I don't let it bother me, though.  I just ignore them and do my business.  Mr. protects me when the dogs get too aggressive.

In the pictures I am looking at the pigeons out the window.  My temporary lady wanted to take a picture of my back so you could see how good my hair has grown back.

Mr. is baking some home made bread.  Can't wait to try it.  Gotta go!

Love, Marley

FLAT MARLEY GOES TO THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART

Flat me got to return to Central Park and go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Flat me enjoyed another section of Central Park. More trees were in bloom.
Lady got yelled at when she put Flat me on the sphinx!

The only dog allowed on Broadway is Sandy the dog. Lady said he was played by a b*tch, not a dog!! She did a really good job and didn't miss any of her cues. Lady loved the musical! She went with her friend Bobby.
Lady and Flat me are flying back to FL tomorrow! It's been a great trip. Special thanks to Uncle Jim and Aunt Camille for hosting us.

FLAT MARLEY GOES TO CENTRAL PARK

Today Flat me went to Central Park, FAO Schwartz, and the Midtown Manhattan Fire Station.

Uncle Tyler's brother works here, but he wasn't on duty when Lady went by. Uncle Tyler sent gifts for his brother. Bet he'll be surprised when he comes on duty Friday!

This station lost more firefighters than any other station on Sept. 11, 2001. They had some plaques and their photos on the wall but requested no photos. Lots of folks were taking photos of the trucks!
 SQUIRREL!
NEW YORK PIZZA!

Checking out the huge toy store. Lady says it is not the same as the old one on Fifth Ave. It's nice but lacks the character and charm of the old one. They got bought out by Toys R Us.
This is from the old store.
Lady and Aunt Camille got caught in the rain, so they went into an Indian restaurant and had chai! Lady misses her Indian chai but not as much as she misses me!

 Queens Zoo

September 11, 2001 was a very sad day in Lady's country. She went to the memorial for all the people who lost their lives on that day, and in another attack on the World Trade Center in 1993.
That day, Lady was supposed to fly back to China, but all the planes were grounded. She sat in front of the TV following the news for eight days until she fly again.
 St. Paul's chapel was spared.
Flat me went on the Staten Island Ferry and saw Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty.

St. Paul's Chapel from 1776! It's right across from the 9/11 memorial.
This is Zale. He works at the Sten Island Ferry trying to keep the bad guys from hurting anyone, and drug runners out! Lady gave him some good scratching and he laid on her feet! He threw his head back so she would scratch under his chin! Usually working dogs don't get to be scratched but the guy let Lady because of me! There's a whole book on Dog Heros of 9/11 that Lady wants to buy for me. She bought a stuffie Search and Rescue dog, but says I can't love the stuffin's out of it!
This is where Zale works. Lady thought all the lights at night were beautiful. After Chinese food -REAL Chinese food, Lady, Flat me, and her friends went back to Queens.
