My bags are packed! I'm ready to go! We're taking lots of stuff. Pearly and Lady went shopping today to buy the school supplies. One of our friends sent money to pay for it. She bought colored paper, blocks, a plastic bat and ball set, playdough, paints, white board markers, wall pins, world map, India map, and state map, number chart, and some of their texts. She bought a whole bag of vegetables to take.
I packed my rug, my bowls, food, treats, toys, blankie, sweaters, coats, towels, and feel better pills. I have my own bag. Lady brings her sleeping bag, too.
If we can get online, we'll post some photos. The roads are clear, but it is colder there than here. We'll be back next Saturday, but Lady has another trip Saturday night. She'll be back Sunday. I'll go stay at the Home with the kids. Lady says there is way too much walking for my short legs on her next trip. It is WAY out there.
Lady's feeling much better these days, thanks. I am just dandy today. Yesterday, I was just off my game.

Lady says I seem droopy today. I took her out for her morning walk, and after taking care of business, I just didn't feel like walking home. So, I asked her to carry me.  I don't mean to worry her. This is what I did when my back was hurting. She scooped me up and carried me home. I usually want to play before I go to bed, but I just wasn't up to it. I let Lady win tug-o-war. She even had to fetch my toy. I just wanted to sit in her lap while she worked at the computer today.
I'll be perky tomorrow...maybe.
Lady says we're going on a road trip Sunday, so I better perk up. We'll be gone about a week. We're going back to Apple Country. I went this time last year, too. I've been twice. We ride in a taxi for 8 or 9 hours but we stop and explore. I really like it there -so many more things to smell! It's pretty rustic though. The potty for lady is down the retractable ladder and outside. It's called an outhouse. She also calls it a squatty potty. And she has to take a bath with a bucket. They heat up some water for her on the stove. Lady doesn't mind. She loves it in Apple Country, too. It is so beautiful there. No monkeys, but lots of cows and goats. We're going to help the school we work with begin the new school year. Don't worry -I'll get Lady to take some photos, but you can just check back on my previous posts about Apple Country.

(Original Words by Beth Slater Whitson, Music by Leo Friedman, adapted by Marley)
I let you call me "Sweetheart," cuz you feed and walk me, too.
I let you call me "Baby" cuz you love me true.
Keep the treats a comin' and the stuffed toys, too.
I let you call me "Sugar Booger," "Darlin'," too.

I let you call me "Good Boy," and "My Sweet Angel," too.
I let you dress me up and take my picture, I do.
Keep the treats a comin' and the stuffed toys, too.
I"ll let you call me anything, cuz
I love you, too!

Fat Tuesday? Sounds good to me. Lady says the real name is Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of LENT.  It comes from the word "shriving" or confessing your sins. Lady began our special devotions to prepare our hearts for Easter. I know all about Easter. I get an Easter Bucket every year, but that's not what it is all about. Easter begins with a party and ends with a party. That's pretty cool. The angels sing when a prodigal comes home -when a sinner admits His sin and asks forgiveness. Because of what Jesus did on the cross over two thousand years ago, believers can have the gift of eternal life! So, this is just the beginning. Many people give up something for the days of Lent -like a sacrifice. Dogs don't have to. I'm just glad Lady didn't give ME up for Lent!
So Party hearty today, all you believers!
In New Orleans it's Mardi Gras
In Germany it's Fasching
In England it is Pancake Day (wow I like that!)
In Brazil it's Carnival!
Whatever it is called, it is a party!
The King of all I survey!
Happy Mardi Gras! Party!

(With credit to the Mamas and the Papas)

Monday Monday, it's okay for me,
Monday Monday, it's not quite all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't wait to pee
Cuz Sunday evening I drank too much, too much for me
Monday Monday, I go out to play
Monday Monday, all the cows they got in my way
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning the cows chase me
Oh Monday Monday, my short little legs are failing me

Every other day, every other day,
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
You can find me poopin' all of the time

Monday Monday, It's okay for me,
Monday Monday, it's not quite all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening those cows they wouldn't be chasin' me.

 ...organizing my toys...

 ...chasing gators...

 ...lovin' on Lady...

 ...catch some rays outside...

 ...and having a rest.
We had pancakes for breakfast, and grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch.

Pillar of Strength for K

K is a very special dog belonging to KB.  They have done some amazing work together and have shared their adventures on their blog....
K is currently experiencing some major health issues, so the Blogville family is standing with K and KB with the power of the Creator of the paw. We fold our paws and pray for you, and for wisdom for the white-coats in knowing just how to treat you. God bless you, K. We are new fans of your blog. Your snaps are wonderful. We pray your next treatments will go uneventfully and pain-free.
Lady and I have a limited reading list of blogs. We are new at this, and are just now finding out about other blogs through our few friends. This is our first blog hop.

Lady says I am her Valentine! Lady ate chocolate for breakfast! Then she had oatmeal with our helper Sonya. She gave me chicken and milk with my breakfast! Since Lady is still sick we are staying in as much as possible today, but I already took her out for her walk. It is cold but no snow. She finally got some sleep last night and is feeling much better today. She won't let me kiss her face because she doesn't want me to get her cold. I tried though. We're just hanging out by the heater, catching up on e-mail, and playing with my new toys. Hope you all have a love and chocolate(for humans) and meat (for dogs) filled day!

The kids came over and made Valentines and cookies. I got one before it was frosted.

Lady went to the post office and brought back two boxes. One was full of chocolate and not for me. But the second box had all kinds of stuff in it! I quickly found a stuffed gator I am sure is for me! It squeaks! It's from my uncle Levi. I've barely put it down! But Lady was pulling out stuff from the box and I spotted a squeaky hotdog! I know that is for me! It's from my little buddy Wyatt! I think he misses me!. I can't wait until he returns and brings the new little buddy with him. I spotted some meaty dog sticks. Lady is vegetarian, so score another gift for me! Thanks Aunt Lindsey! She always remembers me!.
Lady got good stuff, too. She got some things to keep her warm. She was excited about that.  It came on a good day because my Lady is sick. She has a chest infection and a sinus infection. Don't worry, I am taking good care of her, and she got some medicine today.

I really like my gator. Thanks, Uncle Levi.

Lady said I could post some photos from her trip to Dubai. An aquarium right inside the mall!
 Lady likes chocolate!
The tallest building in the world!
The rest of the tallest building in the world!
Lady's feet in the Arabian Gulf!
 A seven star hotel!

The ski slope at the mall from the outside!
Lady said there's a mosque on every block!

Lady had a great time with her friend Carol. They stayed in a studio apartment and saved money by eating some meals there. They took a two day hop on-hop off bus tour that saved them tons of money in transportation. Dubai is expensive, but very clean and safe, and lots to see and do.

I'm Home!

Lady came and picked me up today. I showered her with slobbery kisses, and was quite vocal with my enthusiasm! She brought me prezzies! She gave me some treats and a new elephant! She says it's an early Valentine. She loves me so.

Lady says the camel is hers from Dubai, and the elephant was a gift from her friend in Sri Lanka. The red elephant is MINE MINE ALL MINE!
