I'm back! I had to go back to the white coats on Wednesday. He gave me three more shots! I only growled on the first one, but he hurt me bad on the second one and I cried and cried LOUDLY, right in Lady's ear. She just held me and tried to tell me it was okay. Yeah, right! SHe didn't get stuck so hard! I cried and cried and shook, even after the shot was over. Lady felt so bad for me. I got a treat. But next thing ya know, I'm getting stuck AGAIN! I didn't cry. Lady said I was a brave little dog. I got another treat. My hinie is sore again, but I could climb the stairs. Lady also had the White Coat check out my bruise. It's right by my weewee. The White Coat said it would be okay. I must have hit it on somehting, but I don't remember. I am a very active little dog, you know. The rest of me is fine, unlike some of the other dogs in that place!

Today is the AMerican teachers' last day. The leaders of the university gave them a wonderful farewell- thank- you banquet. I didn't go, but I am feeling better. The university presented the teachers with a lovely gift and a beautiful memory book with photos from the program! The teachers received many gifts in the last two days. April wins the prize for the most unusual gift. Because it is animal parts, she can't take it to the states. Guess who gets it! Lady says I am not allowed to tell you what it is, but here it is considered a delicacy, and good for men. We can't figure out why they gave it to April. Lady has been given many unusual gifts, but April's gift is most definitely the MOST unusual! The teachers are now trying to fit all their gifts in their luggage allowance. One teacher gave Lady her box of Dove dark chocolate! Lady was so happy! My packed bag is by the door, so that means I am going on a trip. I'll write more when I get back. You can write me, you know.
Torch Festival
Each year, the Yi People hold a Torch or FIre Festival, so called because they burn torches or bon fires. There is a lot of dancing and singing as well. Our neighborhood holds a FIre Festival each year and we usually go. But not this year. My American friends went, and had front row seats. They even had to give a speech and sing a song! Ha! Happens to us all the time, but my friends were surprised! Well, Lady and I stayed home. I had three shots in my hiney and I am so sore I can't climb the stairs, and I can barely walk. I even cry when Lady picks me up. She had to carry me all the way home last night because I was just too sore to walk. She even had to help me up on the bed last night. She says I'm pitiful. I don't know what that means but if it means I don't feel good then she's right. I heard the White Coat say he'd see me next week. I do understand Chinese you know. I do not want to go back, even if Lady does give me a treat. And the White Coat told Lady not to give me beef or chickenNo beef? No Beef? ! She doesn't like me to have pork. What's a little dog to do? She says I have to eat my Pedigree dog chow.
Well, anyway, my friends enjoyed the performances at the Torch Festival, and I enjoyed the performances at the Talent Show. Today is the last day of the English Summer Camp. Lady wants me to go with her so she can keep an eye on me. Oh boy! I love to go!

Here is White Coat preparing my injection. I really don't like injections and I let it be known. But, Lady gives me a treat if I hold still and don't bite anybody. He stuck me THREE TIMES today! It really hurt and I cried. When we got home, I couldn't climb the stairs. My backside hurts. So Lady carried me..
I have spots again. Lady took me to see the White Coats. I don't like the way they take my temperature. I break the thermometer by pushing it out! So, Lady got me a digital thermometer and takes my temperature under my front leg. Here I am in the waiting room. Well, it is also the treatment room. There are two smaller areas dvided by glass walls. I haven't had to go back there. I don't WANT to go back there. Those dogs cry.
