BAD HABITS

Lady says I have bad habits
I don't think it's so.
I have my ways through all my days
I'm eleven now, you know!

Lady says I have bad habits
I jump up where I shouldn't.
"You'll hurt your back! Your spine you'll crack!
"Would you like your wheels back?"
I wouldn't.

Lady says I have bad habits.
I like to lick bare toes.
No socks no shoes, no matter whose
I like to lick bare toes.

Lady says I have bad habits.
I'm not afraid enough of cars
"They'll smash you flat, just like that!
And you'll be in the stars!"

Lady says I have bad habits
I destroy my toys.
I play too ruff, de-stuff the fluff
That's how I love my toys!

Lady says I have bad habits
I don't think it's so!
I just have my way, so who's to say
What are good or bad habits, ya know?

Dead Duck

I disemboweled my duck today,
It won't be squeaking anymore.
Feet and fluff and squeaker lie scattered upon my floor.
You may think I didn't like it
because it's belly I tore.
Not true, I tell you! Now I like even more!
And lo, the duck was not the first
to lose its guts this way;
there's Pooh, Scooby, Santa and Gator,
Red Elephant who died of play.
I love the stuffin's out of my toys,
I love them, I really do.
A bit of polyester,
a stitch here and there
will make them as good as new!
