Hi! This is me the first day Lady brought me home to Grandma and Grandpa's. This is third home in nine months and I hope it is my last. I like Lady. And it didn't take long to like Grandma and Grandpa, too. My coat was all matted because I was not properly groomed. They just didn't have time for my needs. Butt, they cared enough to surrender me so I could find a new home. My new mommy and I are grateful.
This is me after a trip to the groomer's. She was nice, butt I don't like to be brushed.
THINGS I AM LEARNING:
I'm wanted. My new family has time for me.
Down- I like to jump on everything, and everyone.
Sit- I'm doing better with this than down.
Back-up when the door opens, I must back up.
Wait- this is a new one. I can wait four seconds already!
Good boy - that means I've done something right and I might get a Cheerio or treat.
THINGS MY PEEPS ARE LEARNING:
I can reach the kitchen counter by the chair and nothing is safe.
If they don't push in their chair at the table, I'll jump up and steal the chicken.
I'm an early riser and if you're not up I will lick you in the face and get you up.
I shred napkins and tissues if I find them.
I steal socks and underwear and drag them into the living room.
I'm really cute when I sleep.
I'm afraid of other dogs.
I am very reluctant to let people touch me outside of my home.
I'm a good sleeper at night.
I am the best snuggler, and I help Grandpa take naps.
So you see, we are all learning a lot these days.
Lady has learned that she has room in her heart for me, and I just jumped right in and settled down.
I hope you'll come back and visit me again.
Looks like you've settled right in there!
ReplyDeleteYup. I am Prince of my domain. My PEEPS are learning.

ReplyDeleteHi Teddy,
ReplyDeleteI've come over from the Welcome Wagon 'cos you and I have much in common - a love of shredding tissues for starters - and my human Gail felt empathy with your Lady, as she herself has had to deal with many elderly parent issues over the past few years.
Have fun blogging!
