HEARTBROKEN

My beloved Marley crossed the Rainbow Bridge today after a very bad night. He is no longer suffering or in pain. He could not walk today, and has shown no indication of being "Marley" since Monday. I saw this day coming but it doesn't mean I am ready for it. I said my good-byes over the last few weeks, and held him closely. I didn't think I had anymore tears left today but I was wrong. I am thankful for Gail and Edwin who met me at the vet's and went with me to "Paws to Heaven -A Pet's Final Journey." It is a government sponsored place. I could not have gone alone. They treated Marley with respect. All the way there I told funny Marley stories, to remember the fun times and try not to cry. My friend Debbie and the kids came over as well. 
I'll post some of my favorite photos and stories later. Just wanted to let you know. Thank you for your prayers and POTP. Marley is finally at perfect peace.

LOOPY -NEED POTP

Lady is having to heavily edit this as I just cannot make my brain work right. I had another seizure Sunday evening and a second one at 4:00 am Monday. The vet put me on 30 mgs phenobarb twice a day, but I was so out of it, Lady didn't start the pills until Tuesday night. I crash into things, get stuck, can't back up, and I cry. I still like to eat, and am eating everything I can find, which is hard when you are blind. My nose works great. I sniffed out a grilled cheese sandwich the kids were eating last night. So Lady made me one. I like to be held and scratched. I have a lot of trouble taking care of business because I can't stand up well. That's a total of twelve grand mal siezures since Dec 23. Lady thinks they took a huge toll on my brain. Today, I can barely get around.
I need POTP. Lady needs prayer. She's a mess.  She loves me so much it hurts.

THERE"S NO PLACE LIKE HOME

I survived my stay at the kennel. Lady got in at 4:00 in the morning and came home to find her house full of some of her favorite peeps! Wyatt, Tate, and Sarah Grace came to surprise Lady for her birthday, which was Jan. 10. I got home at about 1:00 pm, but Lady was at work. Wyatt gave me good scratchings! I love it when they come because they drop good stuff. 
Lady took me to the vet today for follow-up blood work. I'm good! My WBC is fine. My creatin levels are fine. PRAISE THE LORD! I am one tough little dude, according to Lady and the vets. My hemoglobin is low so I am on a supplement. Lady put it in some milk and I lapped it right up Yep, I can have milk. When I finish my renal diet I can go back to my weight management chow. 
I am so happy to be back in my bed with my heater and my Lady.
Lady is very glad as well.

BACK TO THE KENNEL

Well, Lady couldn't find anyone to stay with me so I am headed back to the kennel I stayed at before. I like the car ride. I like being lose, but Lady is concerned. She wants daily updates. We'll see if they give them to her. She's just concerned because of all my challenges lately. I got good reports from the vets. They said to tell the kennel to call with "any issues at all." 
It's going to be a long 8 days for Lady. 

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well, furrends, life is getting back to normal. I am feeling much better. I am active, eating well, pooping well, and sleeping pretty well. I rolled off the bed pad and peed on Lady's comforter. She wasn't happy, but didn't scold. I ask to get up in her lap again. I peed on her so she put me down. Oops. She's the one that forgot to put a pad in her lap, duh. 
My blood work yesterday showed my kidney function is almost in the normal range. I have a new chow: Royal Canin Renal Diet. I like it. I like the canned better but it is expensive. They had to order it for me so I will have the canned sometimes. My WBC is too high, so they added an antibiotic to my list. I go to the vet once a day now. I will have another blood test Monday. Lady has a trip Sunday night. She thought she had an in-home sitter lined up but she fell through. So did five other people. 
Guess what? Vet said today I can have 1/2 cup of Probiotic yogurt a day for awhile! I love it! I am so happy. It will help my tummy. It's been through a lot. No cheese though. Ate a carrot today. Yum. Things are looking up. Lady doesn't want me to go to the kennel. Still looking for a sitter. 

I'm going to have a scar on my head. 2016 is going to be okay I think. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
