I know what I like. I am a senior citizen now and I want to eat what I like. My grandparents get to eat what they like, when they like. I'm old, too. Lady is discovering that I like more foods than she knew about.
I like hummus. And I like it with baked pita chips. I helped myself to Lady's chips when she left the box open on the floor beside her. It's Saturday night and we were watching TV and eating dinner. Okay, I was stealing her dinner. I like ranch dip on my carrots. I didn't eat her salad, but I ate her carrots and dip. She brought back delicious cashew nuts from the south. I stole some. I love it when she puts her plate on the floor. Makes it easy to steal what I like.
Okay, to be fair, when she knows I like something, she will make some for me, too. We used to have pizza on Friday nights. She'd make one just for me, but she is off cheese for Lent, so -no pizza.
I was happy to get cheese at Aunty Barb's.
We're almost out of March and Lady is still here! She's not leaving until the 9th of April, and I go on vacation again. And guess what? Our weather is still very pleasant. Okay, it has rained, but the temps are still really nice! This is unheard of for this time of year!
Well, that's it for now, Blogville furrends.

  1. I think a pup your age should have anything you want . . . .in moderation! That is, don't eat so much you get sick, Marley, just enough to see how it works for you.

    Your friend,

  2. Sounds like you and Lady are having a great time together. And, just a reminder, if the plate is on the floor OR low down, it's yours and you are NOT stealing. Dachshund rules..

Oh yes I agree with the Scots, plates on floors are fair game!! Sounds like the climate is playing crazy dodos absolutely efureewheres, but at least for those in Delhi it is a positive. Happy Sunday!! Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx

  4. BOL BOL we agree with Scotsmad. We hope you have a serene Sunday and go get yourself some big easy today. Enjoy your time with Lady Marley.
    Best wishes Molly

  5. Good job Marley on "sharing" the food with Lady! We too love carrots but never had them with dressing on them. The pita chips sound wonderful. And who doesn't like pizza! Sorry Lady gave up cheese for Lent; we know how much you love your pizza.

We're so happy that Lady has stuck around for awhile with you. We hope her next trip doesn't last too long.

    Lily Belle

  6. You've earned the right to eat whatever you want, buddy!

  7. Sounds like you and Lady are having a good time together. Stay healthy :)
