DAY 7: Sunday, went to church. I was good. The rincipal's dog snapped at me. just because I sniffed his privates. Went on outing to the world's highest monastery (so they claim), and to a Tibetan friend's home for fresh mint tea. I just ate the cookies.
The view from the top of the monastery
I didn't go in. I'm from China -I've seen a bazillion temples!
I did enjoy the view, but I scared Lady when I jumped up on the wall. We were really high!
This is what it looks like from the road below.
DAY 8: Rode the school bus to school with Lady and a load of kids. Basked in the sun, rolled in the dirt, then rode the bus back. Slept all the way. Had a bath.
We had morning assembly every day.
Lady taught the teachers, and I kept watch at the door.
Nan taught the little kids. Sometimes I helped her.
DAY 9: Rode the bus to school again. Didn't bite anybody, although I thought about it. Entertained the kids, rolled in the dirt, basked in the sun, rode the bus back. Had a bath.
Day 10: Slept all the way to school even though the kids sing really loud all the way. Barked at some kids for teasing me. Got slightly scolded, but not as bad as the kids who teased me. Lady was mad! Rolled in the dirt, basked in the sun, supervised, and rode the bus back. Had a bath.
Day 11: Lady and I rode the first bus in at 8:00 as she had lots to do to get ready for her training today. It was nice and quite with only a few kids. There are 71 kids at the school. Let Nan and the kindergarteners borrow my bone for a game. Followed the principal around, dug in the dirt. Watched kids pee outside, rode the bus home.
Day 12: Lady and Nancy got gifts from the school. All the work I did and he forgot me. But, later I got some chicken!
I helped open their gifts. I am an expert you know.
Lady says I am a ganda baccha (dirty baby). That's why she has to give me a sponge bath every day when we get back to the room.
Come back tomorrow for the final installment of my trip journal.

What a wonderful trip, Marley! Those children are all so beautiful, no-no on the biting and barking at them. I am going to go through the whole trip from the beginning once you get home again.
