MOTA BACHA

Mota Bacha means "fat baby" in Hindi. Lady and I both are too big in the middle, but our diet isn't going so well. I need to lose five pounds. I'm not getting extras (much), but it is too hot to exercise. Normally in August, the rains keep the temps down around 90 degrees or less. But not this year. All week it's been 103 plus. It's 90 in our living room. So we hang out in the guest room. The AC in our room isn't working well. The AC man is coming tomorrow.
The vet said I can have 140 grams of dog chow a day. I am on Royal Canin Adult mini, plus some supplements for my bones. He suggested a weight reduction dog food, but I don't like my food changed unless it is my idea. I like this chow.
Any ideas furrends on helping me get my buff bod back?

FLAT MARLEY TAKES A TRAIN RIDE

Lady took Nancy home to our old city in the mountains. Only Flat Marley could go. I stayed with a timeshare family. Lady and Nancy traveled on the big train, but on the way home, Stacy and Lady came the slow way on the small-guage train.
Flat Me is ready to go! The seats are like school bus seats -not comfortable. This is the scenic train ride on the world's highest small-guage train, or so they say. It takes 5 1/2 hours to get down the mountain until we catch the next nice train into the capital city of Delhi.
The seats on the express train are much nicer than the ones on the small train.

You see all kinds of critters when you're stopped at a station.
The small trian goes through 102 tunnels!!

It made for a long day, but Stacy enjoyed the trip as she headed back down the mountain to go back to the USA. I liked Stacy cuz she fed me meat!

FULL HOUSE

Sure had a fun weekend with my boys in the house!
 Tyler and a pooped Tate.
Tate playing with his dad on my bed.
We had pancakes for breakfast! It's been fun having my friends here from my old city. My happy meter wagged off the charts.
We took some photos today. Here's my Christmas portrait:

Little Mess Makers

It's Saturday. That means the neighborhood girls come over to my house for a Bible Story and a craft. Sometimes they cook. Not today. Today, after learning lessons from Michal, they made pictures with their thumbprints. I had a little difficulty.
My pal Christy came early to play with me. She and Nan stayed late to help Lady and I decorate for my pawty TOMORROW!
I'll just hang out with Nan as she helps the little ones.
Maybe I can do nose prints in my notebook.
After the mess makers left, Lady, Nan and Christy decorated and did more baking. Christy grated cheese. I waited patiently. Nothing. She said I had to wait till tomorrow for my pupperoni pizza. On my birthday, Lady makes my favorites. I don't eat until my party so that I can have a little taste of everything. Wonder if I will get chicken. Lady the vegetarian is not going to cook it for me. Although, she DID make me bacon (grease) and cheese biscuits. Those I got to sample. My diet is over tomorrow! Yippee! It's my pawty and I'll bark if I want to!!
Uh oh. Lady wants to know what Dead Bunny is doing in HER suitcase. Gotta go.

MONDAY MONDAY

(With credit to the Mamas and the Papas)

Monday Monday, it's okay for me,
Monday Monday, it's not quite all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't wait to pee
Cuz Sunday evening I drank too much, too much for me
Monday Monday, I go out to play
Monday Monday, all the cows they got in my way
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning the cows chase me
Oh Monday Monday, my short little legs are failing me

Every other day, every other day,
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
You can find me poopin' all of the time

Monday Monday, It's okay for me,
Monday Monday, it's not quite all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening those cows they wouldn't be chasin' me.

SATURDAY

Lady says it's Saturday.
I've been busy...
 playing Scrabble with my friends...

 ...organizing my toys...

 ...chasing gators...

 ...lovin' on Lady...

 ...catch some rays outside...

 ...and having a rest.
We had pancakes for breakfast, and grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch.
It's been a good day.

In Trouble Again

Lady knows I love cheese. She had six small chunks to have with her soup. I waited patiently. She gave me one chunk. Then she turned her back for a second. When she turned back around she discovered someone had eaten ALL of the cheese! Of course, I got blamed. Where are the kids when you need them? Lady says if I get loose motion it will serve me right! Sorry, Lady!

Sorry, Lady

I just couldn't help it! I tried to get you going and take me outside. You wondered why I was in such a hurry. Guess you found out. I am sooooooo embarrassed! Something did NOT agree with me and there was a "rumbly in my tumbly," as Winnie the Pooh says (and I was wearing my Pooh coat). I just couldn't quite make it. I'm so sorry. You didn't really like that green mat anyway, and and and it just sorta blends in, doesn't it? And I am so sorry about the smell. Why don't we just hang out outside in the sunshine today? Sounds good to me!

SNOW

We woke up this morning and everything was white!

The sky was blue and it was sunny!

 Well, here I go!

 Trying to find smells!

 Here's a place!

Lady made a snow dog.
She took me out a couple of times before it got really yucky and cold with no sun. I had to wear a sweater and a coat. I got wet. We went back inside and huddled by the gas heater because the power has been out all day! Now it's back on so I can post.

Bye Bye, 2011

Whew! I've been busy taking care of Lady, putting away Christmas, and organizing all my new toys. Lady is a bit reflective today. So, I am too. We are BOTH so thankful my back troubles of 2011 are history, and I am doing fine. We are so thankful to be here in the foothills of the Himalayas, even though it is a bit cold! Lady's is thankful she got to g to the states to visit my grandparents and her friends. I am thankful for Grace Home, where I go when she leaves. We have good friends here who care about us. We have blogger friends who read our ramblings and encourage us. We have a God who loves us. We are blessed.
I can tell you I am NOT looking forward to the inevitable fireworks that will take place, but I am looking forward to another year with Lady, and another year of sharing my adventures with you!

Early Christmas

Our friends left for the capital city this morning. In a few days they will fly home to America and won't return for six months. They stayed with us for a few days. We had an early Christmas. I really like them because they eat meat and bring me leftovers!
                                                        Merry Christmas, Marley!
This is how you open a gift!

I'm just learning how to do this.

Marley is a pro.

I dressed up for the occasion. Lady gave me a new Christmas neckerchief!

Lady let me open a present early so I wouldn't be overwhelmed on Christmas!

A new Rudolph Bobo!

I gave Wyatt a hand opening his gifts. He's new at it.

Marley shows me how it is done.

Lady gave me a shopping basket full of plastic fruit! It kept me entertained for a long time!

I am really going to miss this little guy and his parents. They drop good stuff on the floor. They eat meat! Wyatt's dad plays tug-o-war with me. Lady says they won't be back for a long time. We're sad.

See Ya Later, Aunt Sheri!

Well, it was off to the home for me on Monday. Lady took Aunty Sheri to the capital city to fly back to the US. She wanted to take me with her but Lady said no way. Aunty Sheri really likes me a lot. I was a good host. Lady came back this afternoon, dropped her suitcase and came to get me. I was ready to go home right then. I kept running to the door, back to Lady, to the door, back to Lady...you get the idea. Well, apparently Lady didn't. She stayed for tea! She said it would be rude not to have tea with Aunty. Pearly carried my bag for me and visited for a bit. She missed the school bus today so she stayed home and played me with. I was mopey because Christy went back to boarding school last evening. But I am home now, with my Lady, where I belong.

Fixin'

We're always fixin' to do something. Lady tells Jerry, "We're fixin' to go out." If she cooks, she says, "we're fixin' to eat." Lady is always fixin' to do something or go somewhere. "I'm fixin' to plan for the Children's Home kids." Me? I'm fixin' to take a nap, fixin' to chase flies, fixin' to love the stuffin's out of my baby, fixin' to eat, scold that big yellow lab marking my gate, fixin' to take a nap, fixin' to snack, fixin' to lie in a sunbeam, fixin' to go to bed, fixin' to chase birds on the balcony, fixin' to water plants and fertilize trees, fixin' to nap...
Hey! I got to Skype with my Uncle Floyd and Aunt Virginia as well as Grandma and Grandpa last night! They have been to see me in China and South India, and they are coming again!! Yippee! hey gave Lady some real good news for Deborah, who is fixin' to leave early Monday. They collected some money for Deborah's tuition! Praise the Lord!! Deborah has one more year for her MDiv before she returns to her home country of Myanmar, next March. She has stayed with us for two summers. She took care of me for a couple of months when Lady was in the US. I lived in the girls' dorm! Fun! Until one of the girls left the gate open and I ran out and took on a big street dog. He bit me on the neck and on the ear. Five trips to the vet for after-bite shots and I was good to go. I will miss her. She eats meat.
Well, I am fixin' to go find a sunbeam in which to bask.
